Join CCAN’s local 757 Climate Action Team and the Coastal Invasive Removal Team to help protect Norfolk’s trees and improve the health of our urban forests in the region!

No experience needed — we’ll provide training and tools, plus FREE refreshments!

Together, we will remove vines from a city property. We will focus on removing non-native invasive vines primarily like English ivy (Hedera helix).

Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and close-toed shoes. You may also want to wear a hat and long sleeves to protect yourself from the sun and thorns. Instructions, tools, and refreshments will be provided on-site, so just bring yourself, some water, and a good attitude! Students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of the event.
