Tell MoCo Council: Prohibiting solar is WRONG in a climate crisis

Maryland’s Montgomery County Council just voted to reject meaningful advances in solar power in the county. They voted on amendments to effectively prohibit farmers in the county from producing solar energy for low- and moderate-income families.

The county’s two biggest environmental groups – Sierra Club and CCAN Action Fund – passionately asked the Council NOT to take this action. Here’s a Washington Post op-ed expressing our view.

Please tell the Montgomery County Council that you oppose the January 26 vote to effectively prohibit farmers from producing solar power for low- and moderate-income families. The Council has made a mistake.
