The $2.3 trillion American Jobs Plan, proposed by President Biden in March, would dramatically expand union households while rebuilding our economy and fighting climate change. But some in Congress are dragging their feet while calling for massive cuts to the President’s plan. 

Sign the petition: Tell Congress to pass the American Jobs Plan without delay. The $2.3 trillion Biden plan will rebuild our economy with equity, expand union households, and fight climate change with clean-energy jobs. 

Dear Members of Congress, 

American unions built the middle class in this country. We should know. We come from union households and have experienced firsthand the benefits of family-supporting wages and benefits. 

That’s why Congress must pass the American Jobs Plan. If we want to solve the chronic problems of wealth inequality and economic insecurity -- while also addressing climate change -- we need to restore the power and breadth of our unions. 

The $2.3 trillion American Jobs Plan, proposed by President Biden, would do just that. It calls for repairing our ailing roads and bridges and other infrastructure while dramatically expanding wind and solar power. It explicitly calls for passage of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act – a bill prized by organized labor for decades. The final result will be millions of new, family-sustaining jobs.

The American Jobs Plan will clean our air and water while putting more people to work -- with the ability for workers to collectively bargain. Congress should pass this bill immediately.
