Action Member Meetup
Join our organizers and your fellow CCANers! We have a lot of plans for the next few months and, as always, we need everyone to help make it all happen. While these meetings are typically exclusive to Action Members, this is a critical time for Maryland climate policy, so we're inviting all CCAN supporters to join.
We’ll be discussing news of critical importance to Marylanders including:
- 2023 Legislative Priorities. We’re focused on five major climate bills during this session of the Maryland General Assembly. Hear all about it from our resident expert (and new Maryland director) Jamie DeMarco.
- Maryland Offshore Wind. We had an exciting first day of session at the Maryland State House with our huge display of wind turbines and all the things they can power. Watch this video of lawmaker remarks and join us to hear more about next steps.
- Electrify Howard County. We're ramping up our campaign calling for new HoCo buildings to use only electric systems to power space heating, hot water, and other appliances – similar to recent measures in Montgomery County and DC. See how you can help!
- CCAN’s new Baltimore Organizer. Meet Natallia Reid and learn more about their ambitions for work in the Baltimore region.
