Mountain Valley Pipeline LLC is continuing to destroy our communities and environment to deliver more climate-destroying gas to its customers. The pipeline started pumping fracked gas this summer. This disastrous pipeline cuts through communities and even hems in some landowners on three sides of their homes.

But it’s not enough for this company. Developers want to pump even more gas! So they've asked federal regulators to approve a major extension of their project. And they've asked that regulators allow only a short public comment period and minimal environmental impact review.

We need to tell them NO WAY!

We, the undersigned members of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN), call on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to require Mountain Valley Pipeline LLC to apply for a new permit for the MVP Southgate Project (CP25-60).

CCAN is the first nonprofit in the Chesapeake region dedicated to exclusively fighting global warming. For 20 years our members in Virginia and across the United States have called for increased public participation and a true accounting of the environmental costs when evaluating fossil fuel infrastructure projects.

Mountain Valley Pipeline LLC submitted an abbreviated application for amendment to the  Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for MVP Southgate Project (Docket No. CP25-60). The project is so different from the company’s initial application that the company should be required to apply for a new Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity.
