The Public Service Commission is hosting a final hearing on District (un)SAFE, Washington Gas’s request for a blank check to spend millions on methane gas infrastructure with no proof it will stop super-emitter gas leaks. We’re not fooled: this is yet another version of Project Pipes, and it will not make anyone in the District safer. The Commission has the power to fix this over-budget, ineffective program once and for all. And if they won’t do it, then we’re calling on the D.C. Council to step in to protect us from even higher utility bills.

The Commission heard from you in nearly 700 public comments and dozens of testimonies at community hearings. And now, it’s almost decision time. So let’s make sure they don’t forget our message: no more money for Washington Gas’s failing cash grab!

Rally with us outside the PSC at 8:15am before the hearing kicks off. Then, we’re heading two blocks to the Wilson Building to make the D.C. Council hears from us too. It’s time to STOP PROJECT PIPES!
