In September, CCAN is joining activists around the world in showing that SOLAR power is the most disruptive, revolutionary energy source for good in the world. These events will take place all across America.

The weekend will kick off with an historic EV parade around the US Capitol in Washington DC on Friday, September 19. Our plan is to have at least two dozen decorated EV cars, E-bikes, and E-scooters follow a pre-selected loop in front of the Capitol for at least 30 minutes with pro-solar messaging.

Here are the details:

Cars gather at Parking Lot 3 at RFK stadium (2400 E Capitol St NE, Washington, DC 20003 US) at 11:00 AM ET where we will apply decorations, hear quick speeches, etc then make the one-mile drive together to the Capitol, arriving at noon.
E-scooters and bikes can meet at the Capitol on third street next to the west lawn of the capitol at noon. Bikes, etc are encouraged to display pro-solar signage and decorations too.
We will continue a loop parade route for 30-60 minutes with reporters and supporters on the Mall on 3rd Street NW taking pictures as we pass by.
